About The Artist

Art has always been a passion of mine, I studied it in school and continued learning to paint in watercolors, acrylics, colored pencil and work with clay to this day with a few interruptions along the way. At some point I realized that my identity needed to be founded in the person of Jesus Christ more than in my art which has been and still is a work in progress. God’s creation and all He has blessed me with are my inspiration and my subject matter ranges people and animals to places with special memories attached.

My name is Jeanette, I am a servant of the Yahweh, The Most High. Years ago I decided to sign my work with the name, Pink Earth, to reflect the essence of what I do, bright colors and the beauty of Yahweh’s creation in people, creatures, nature and special places.

So, I inquired of the Lord to show me what to do with all the work of my hands that I’ve done through the years that I felt inspired to do. Did it have a purpose? Or was I just “chasing the wind”? And the Lord answered, “Glorify My Name”. And so I shall, if it be pleasing to King, Yeshua, would like to share my work along with a few life lessons, dreams, revelation and insight from Him.

Reflections

These three paintings were the beginning of a series of window reflections from the 90’s. There is so much complexity displayed in windows, what is behind them as well as what is reflected in them. There are things of great beauty as well as things that beg the question, “what in the world is this?”. Similar to our lives, we push beautiful things to the foreground and hope at least some of the less than pleasant background will go unnoticed and even be forgotten. The reflections represent what we see and what others see in us that can be either a blessing or a hindrance.

What is the point here? Possibly a parable about self examination. Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there be any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way.~Psalm 139:23-24 Is there sin in my life that needs confessing? How do I present myself to others? Is my life reflecting and shining the Glory of God? Remember that in order to shine, we need our regular portion of the source from beyond ourselves, who is Yeshua/Jesus. So, let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. ~Matthew 5:16
