Inasmuch as many have taken in hand to set in order a narrative of those things which have been fulfilled among us, just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word delivered them to us, it seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write to you an orderly account, most excellent Theophilus (lover of God), that you may know the certainty of those things in which you were instructed. ~Luke 1:1-4

Journalism is the process of gathering information from trusted sources such as historical accounts, documents, statements, quotes, unedited videos, eyewitnesses and personal testimonials, then sorting through the material to write an orderly account for the purpose of keeping others truthfully informed on what is going on, presently as well as historically, in their local communities, their countries and the world so they can make reasonable decisions about how to live and stay prepared and how to avoid misfortune and disaster.

Propaganda, on the other hand is information that is controlled by fallible human sources and twisted to promote an agenda which serves the controllers and often not in the best interest of the people receiving the information. It is promoted by deception, fear and intimidation and eventually enforced by deprivation even to the point of destruction of life. Partial truth is always included to perpetuate the deception, but it is carefully crafted to present illusion for manipulation of people.

This is a form of witchcraft. In this day and age it is difficult to be, as well as to stay informed. To be sure, Satan and his minions work continually to keep society confused, divided and separated from the knowledge of Yahweh. Even the definition of “trusted information” has been twisted, so before I begin this journey of sharing information, I want us to be clear and steadfast on definitions.

First it is important to note that free speech is of utmost importance to gathering truthful information. We also know that in that process, much of the free flowing material out there is corrupted and maybe even harmful, but truth can never be found from controlled sources, so wisdom and discernment are necessary in sorting through, finding the puzzle pieces which fit together to give us the clearest picture possible. Will we make some mistakes? Yes, of course, but then we discard the bad pieces and try again.

As believers in Yeshua, we have the Holy Spirit to help us with the sorting and sifting. He Is our ultimate trusted source. Blessed be YAHWEH, Who has not let our enemies destroy us. We have escaped like a bird from a hunter’s trap; the trap is broken, and we are free! Our help comes from Adonai, Who made heaven and earth. ~Psalm 124:6-8

Misinformation – is wrong information mistakenly communicated. Good journalists will eventually make corrections when they discover that they have shared misinformation.

Disinformation– is wrong information purposefully communicated. Disinformation can be used by the enemy for nefarious purposes, but it can also be used by good people in dangerous situations to confuse the enemy and keep them from causing harm to innocent people. A good example of useful disinformation is when good German people during World War II hid Jewish people and other innocent people from Nazi officials who were hellbent on destroying them. When human law changes to go against God’s law, His followers must choose God’s law over man’s law, thus one would become a possible enemy of the state whose life could be endangered.

First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Do not let anyone deceive you with foolish words; it is because of these very things that God’s anger will come upon those who do not obey Him. So have nothing at all to do with such people. You yourselves used to be in the darkness, but since you have become the Adonai‘s people, you are in the light. So you must live like people who belong to the light, for it is the light that brings a rich harvest of every kind of goodness, righteousness, and truth. Try to learn what pleases YAHWEH.

Have nothing to do with the worthless things that people do, things that belong to the darkness. Instead, bring them out to the light. It is really too shameful even to talk about the things they do in secret. And when all things are brought out to the light, then their true nature is clearly revealed; for anything that is clearly revealed becomes light. That is why it is said,Wake up, sleeper, and rise from death, and Christ will shine on you.”

So be careful how you live. Don’t live like ignorant people, but like wise people. Make good use of every opportunity you have, because these are evil days. Don’t be fools, then, but try to find out what the YAHWEH wants you to do. ~Ephesians 5:6-17
